The ISSSC Seppala Siberian Sleddog is an arctic-type working sled dog that has at least 93% of its background stemming from 10 dogs that lived around 1930 and were either foundation stock for Harry Wheeler of St. Jovite, Quebec or immediate ancestors of the Wheeler dogs:

The International Seppala Siberian Sleddog Club (ISSSC) is a group of breeders dedicated to producing Seppala Siberian Sleddogs that are physically healthy, mentally friendly and responsive, and excel at sled dog racing, a sled dog worthy of the Seppala name. The Continental Kennel Club is the normal bastion of records for the ISSSC Seppala. However, to help individuals that want to be part of this program get started, the ISSSC is offering owners, who reside outside the United States and United Kingdom, the opportunity to enter their Siberian Husky sled dogs satisfying the 93% test into the ISSSC Seppala Siberian Sleddog pedigree file. This requires that the pedigree of the applicant can be confirmed to be accurate, and to satisfy the above definition from the ISSSC pedigree file. Dogs accepted into the purebred pedigree file will be given an ISSSC number and will have all the rights and privileges of a purebred ISSSC Seppala Siberian Sleddog. This includes recognition as such for breeding purposes and event participation by the Continental Kennel Club. The owner of the dog should submit the following information, where available:

Anyone may obtain an ISSSC Certificate of Record for their Seppala Siberian Sleddog by submitting proof of ownership, the Continental Kennel Club registration number, a photograph and $5 to ISSSC, 5436 Hiway 83, Seeley Lake, MT 59868, USA. A copy of the CKC registration certificate could constitute proof of ownership.
